Monday we went bowling again, and i got 101 points, which is good because I have a hard time getting over 100.
Tuesday it snowed about a foot of snow, so we spent most of the day shoveling snow and it was a no drive day, but I wouldn’t dare drive our front wheel drive, and close to the ground Cruze in the snow. But did have a little fun while we were in the snow. Some did melt in the afternoon, when the sun came out and everything flooded because the water had nowhere to go.
Wednesday it snowed another foot over night, and went back to shoveling more snow, and this time there was a lot more. Power did go out a few times but it came back on right afterwards. Got some wild game meat from a member who we helped shovel part of his driveway. He had a really long driveway with about two feet of snow covering it. Also the snow is super wet, so we would get done and be soaking wet.
Thursday we were able to drive, after we unburied our car. Found out that a lot of people went to the food bank on Tuesday, I don’t know how they made it in the snow because most roads are no plowed. A good amount of the snow melted over the day. Tried to visit the people we planed to earlier in the week but no one was home.
Friday we had district meeting and Riverton had no snow left on the ground, they usually get about half of what we get. Then went out to Hutson and were able to see everyone that we wanted to, it was nice to be able to see them all again. Found out that the weather is suppose get really warm, and if it gets to warm the town will flood from all the melting snow from the mountains.
Saturday and Sunday was general conference, it is so awesome to be able to hear from the Prophet and the Apostles. There were so many different things that were talked about, so I will just share some of my notes. One thing that reoccurred multiple times was family. How important are family’s, it’s one of the first things as a missionary that we teach about “Because families are ordained of God, they are the most important social unit in time and in eternity. God has established families to bring happiness to His children, allow them to learn correct principles in a loving atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life. The home is the best place to teach, learn, and apply principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. A home established on gospel principles will be a place of refuge and safety. It will be a place where the Spirit of the Lord can abide, blessing family members with peace, joy, and happiness. Through prophets in every age, including our own, God has revealed His plan of happiness for individuals and families.” (Preach my Gospel). I’m going to combine two quotes that I liked from genera conference, “sometimes it’s hard to remember Jesus” But “Heaven Is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever.”
